Bunnie Willis, RPA
President

Senior Property Manager/Vice President with New Boston Fund, Inc. 

In addition to her volunteerism with BOMA, Bunnie was voted Property Manager of the Year, and she has won 4 prestigious TOBY awards. 

Bunnie has served on the FLC in 2007 and was nominated to the Board in 2008.  Bunnie served as Secretary-Treasurer in 2010, Vice President in 2011, and is currently serving as President for the 2012-2013 term.  She also chaired the SLRP committee in 2011.

Bunnie co-chaired the TOBY Committee in 2007 - 2009, as well as being a judge in 2005 and 2006.  In 2009 - 2011, she was the Chair of the TOBY Judging Committee.  Bunnie was the Co-Chair of the Education Committee in 2008 - 2010,  and serves on the BOMA Day and TOBY committees.  She also served as our Website Committee Co-Chair.

Cary Fronstin, RPA, LEED Green Associate

Associate Director at Grubb and Ellis Company

Cary has over 19 years in the commercial real estate industry as an appraiser, property manager, and asset manager.  At Grubb & Ellis he is responsible for maximizing asset value for their South Florida Portfolio. He is the Immediate Past President of BOMA Florida, and a Past-President of BOMA Ft. Lauderdale and the PalmBeaches.  Cary earned his Bachelors Degree specializing in real estate from the Florida State University and also earned the RPA designation from BOMI Institute.  He is our Government Affairs Chair.  He was recently appointed as the chair of the BOMA International IDF (Industry Defense Fund).

Craig Grosby, CPM
Secretary/Treasurer

Craig is currently a Senior Real Estate Manager for CB Richard Ellis. Craig has been working in the property management field since 1981, and achieved his CPM® designation in 1984.

Craig has been a member of BOMA since 1999 and currently serves as the Education Committee Chair, Nominations committee chair, is a member of the Programming Committee, serves as Chair of the Ad-Hoc By-Laws Committee, and is a BOMI Certified Instructor. Craig’s prior committee work includes; Membership and Strategic Long Range Planning.

 

Craig was awarded the Property Manager of the Year in 2008-2009.

Chris Rotolo, RPA, LEED AP
Immediate Past President

President of Stiles Property Management

Chris brings more than 22 years of commercial property management experience. Prior to joining Stiles, Ms. Rotolo was the district manager for Gaedeke Landers, Ltd. in Fort Lauderdale, overseeing 15 Class A office buildings and a staff from Miami to Washington, DC.  Her duties included the reviewing and monitoring of financial and property operations, supervising personnel and tenant relations, and assisting in property acquisitions.  Currently, she manages executive responsibilities for Stiles’ entire portfolio of properties as well as all three divisions of Stiles Property Management, including Tenant Improvements, Maintenance, and Management. 

Chris was the President of BOMA Fort Lauderdale/Palm Beaches for a 2009-2010 term.  Prior to becoming President, Ms. Rotolo acted as Vice President, Secretary/Treasurer and has been a Board Member for over six years.  She remains very active in committee level activities and has chaired both the Programs Committee as well as the Strategic Long Range Planning (SLRP) Committee.

Melanie Schrul
Executive Director

With over 13 years of association management experience Melanie brings knowledge and passion to associations. Melanie is the former Executive Director of the Tampa Bay Chapter of NAIOP and has served on numerous associations’ Board of Directors.

Melanie has worked as the Executive Director for BOMA Fort Lauderdale and The Palm Beaches since 2003 and the Executive Director for BOMA Florida since 2006.  She is responsible for the increased size, participation and notoriety of BOMA both state-wide and locally.  She was instrumental in the BOMA Southern Region Conference in 2007 and has garnered several BOMA International Awards for Best Practices. 

 

Melanie received her Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies: Social Sciences and a minor in Sociology from Florida Atlantic University.  She is the Chair for the BOMA Association Executive Council, a BOMA International appointment.  Melanie was also hand selected from this region to serve on the BOMA One Standards Compliance Task Force.

Rob has 20 years of Indoor Air Quality Investigation and assessing experience with an HVAC background as well rememdiation consulting.  He is also a certified Thermal Photographer.

Rob has been a member since 2001.  Served on Education chairperson 2003-2007 -TOBY Chairperson 2006 -TOBY committee member 2004, 2005, 2007- BOMA Day Chairperson 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 -Membership Chairperson 2008, 2009, 2010, Green Committee member 2009/2010 , Board of director since 2005, Education MOLD instructor.

Don was named Associate Member of the year twice and rose from the Future Leadership Council to the Board quickly due to his leadership skills.  He has co-chaired BOMA Day (golf) for 6 years and was the "man behind the scenes" for TOBY for as many years.

Ron Macklin
Director

Special Asset Solutions, LLC - Chief Operating Officer

Ron has been in the industry 36 years, and a BOMA member 24 years. He is on the BOMAFTL/PB BOD going on 6 years. Ron served as Treasurer, Vice President and President. He has chaired the BOMA Day and SLRP (Strategic Long Range Planning) committees.  Currently Ron is serving as the Treasurer of BOMA Florida.  Ron was also the President of BOMA Southern Connecticut on two occasions.

Michele Pellico, RPA, FMA
Director

Michele is currently a Real Estate Manager, owned by CB Richard Ellis Investors, LLC, managing Esperante’ a Premier 256,000 rsf Class A Property in West Palm Beach.  Esperante’ is Energy Star certified and has currently submitted to the USGBC for Gold LEED Certification.  Michele has been working in the Commercial Real Estate Industry for over 14 years, and has managed portfolios for JP Morgan, ING Clarion and Gaedeke Landers, Ltd.

 

Michele has been a member of BOMA since 2002 and has served on the Programming Committee and currently on the Strategic Long Range Planning Committee. Her awards include two (2) TOBY Awards in 2005 for Under 100,000 square feet and 100-001 to 249,999 square feet; 2008 for 100-001 to 249,999 square feet; 2010 for Renovated of the Year.  She competed at the International TOBY level in 2011, as well as being honored as the Property Manager of the Year in 2011.

Lauren Stephenson
Director

As the Regional Vice President for Jantrex Building Services, Inc., Lauren Stephenson has over a decade of hands-on experience in all aspects of the commercial cleaning industry.  

Lauren has been extremely active in BOMA for several years.  She has served on the following committees; Programming, TOBY, Strategic Long Range Planning, Sustainability, 2007 Southern Region Co-Chair and served as the BOMA Florida Marketing Chair.  Her awards include, 2008 BOMA Outstanding Member of the Year, 2010 TOBY Sponsorship Chair and 2010 BOMA Associate of the Year.  In 2011 Lauren was honored as the Outstanding Member of the Year.

Lynda Bowie
Future Leadership Council

Lynda currently serves as Vice President for Modern Image Landscape & Design, a full service commercial landscape maintenance contractor. Prior to starting Modern Image with her husband in 2003, she worked as an Account Executive in the Public Relations/Event Management field.        

She has been a BOMA member since 2004. Lynda currently serves as Co-Chair of the Programming Committee. She has served on the TOBY and BOMA Day committees. She is currently serving as the Co-chair of the Sponsorship Sub-Committee for BOMA Day 2011. Lynda has also enjoyed her experience being a TOBY judge which she has done since 2006.   In 2011 Lynda was awarded the Outstanding Member of the Year.

Devon Newton, RPA, LEED GA
Future Leadersip Council

Devon is a Senior Property Manager at Pointe Group Advisors, a Real Estate Asset Management firm specializing in property management, construction, development, leasing and acquisitions.  Devon is responsible for the successful management and outstanding financial performance of (11) commercial properties in Broward and Dade County. 

Devon is no stranger to real estate or construction; prior to working for Pointe Group, she worked as an Operations Manager for GL Homes of Florida, the 2nd largest home building in the state of Florida. 

Devon has been a member of BOMA Ft. Lauderdale and the Palm Beaches for over three (3) years, and has been involved with the Marketing Committee, TOBY Committee, and is entering her second year on the Future Leadership Council. 

In 2009 Devon led her team to win a TOBY Award in the Under 100,000 square foot category.  In 2011 she won the Southern Region TOBY Award and was a finalist at the 2010 TOBY International Awards. 

Devon has achieved multiple ENERGY STAR awards for her commercial properties and also achieved the first ENERGY STAR awarded in the United States for a “House of Worship.”

John Braun, SMA, LEED AP
Future Leadership Council

John is currently the Director of Maintenance / Engineering for Stiles Property Management.  He has been working in Property Management since his Honorable Discharge from the Marine Corps in 1986 and achieved his SMA designation in 1989. John has assisted several building teams in winning TOBY awards as well as Earth awards.

In 2001, John was awarded Chief Engineer of the Year.


Jackie Awve
Future Leadership Council

 Property Administrator/ Duke Realty

Jackie Awve has worked in Sales, Marketing, and Business Development for more 15 years in Financial Services and Commercial Real Estate.  Her duties with Duke Realty include managing the marketing and some property management responsibilities at The Shops at Pembroke Gardens.  She also handles administration for several other properties in the Duke Realty’s South Florida portfolio. 

Jackie has been a member of BOMA Fort Lauderdale/Palm Beaches since 2007.  In 2008, she was awarded the inaugural TOBY Rising Star award recognizing exceptional leadership and participation.  In 2010, Jackie was awarded The Outstanding Member of the Year Award.

Jackie co-chaired The Office Building of the Year awards in 2010 and 2011 and participates on the BOMA Day committee.  She is also the Editor for the BOMA FTL/PB e-Connect.  This is Jackie’s first year on Future Leadership Council.

Arty has been a member for 3 years and owns Code Red Restoration Services.  His company was the TOBY Signature Sponsor in 2011 and he was nominated for a personal TOBY award.  Arty has serves on the Membershp, TOBY and BOMA Day Committees.
