Advocacy and Government Affairs
By representing building owners, managers, tenants, and people who serve the building industry before local, state, and national governing bodies and in the media, we help ensure productive workplaces and a healthy and growing business environment.
Being involved in BOMA’s advocacy committees has been the most rewarding component of my involvement in BOMA. Through these various committees, both local and federal, I have participated in efforts that affect billions of dollars for commercial real estate owners. These collective efforts are highly publicized, earning our team and me higher levels of respect and appreciation from the owners who ultimately hire my company for real estate services. Getting involved in advocacy is easier than you would think, and it’s amazing how much our lawmakers pay attention to us when visiting Capitol Hill. The experience has been extremely impactful – both on a personal and professional level."
