Organizing our annual golf tournament is a true team effort—and a big part of what makes BOMA Day such a standout experience. Behind the scenes, a dedicated committee works together over several months to bring the event to life, from early planning through final event-day execution. Committee members collaborate closely to create a seamless, high-energy day for our golfers and guests—one that balances great competition with a genuinely fun, social atmosphere. Along the way, they gain valuable insight into the association, deepen their understanding of the industry, and build strong, lasting relationships within the BOMA community. It’s this combination of teamwork, energy, and attention to detail that continues to make BOMA Day one of the most anticipated and enjoyable events of the year.

As one of the association's two major fundraisers, the Ron Macklin Memorial Open plays an important role beyond the course. While the day is designed to be fun, social, and highly interactive, proceeds directly support BOMA’s programming, education, and advocacy efforts throughout the year.
The event consistently sells out at 144 golfers, with sponsorships secured well in advance. Notably, approximately 70% of sponsors return year after year—a strong reflection of the value, visibility, and relationships this event delivers.

Our golf event culminates with a huge raffle at the end of the evening. With the opportunity to win fantastic prizes, our guests love it and stay until the very end!
